SUMMARY: The Systems InfrastructureProject Manager will be responsible for managing Federal, State and Private Systems Infrastructure projects, including Structured cabling (Horizontal and OSP), CATV, CCTV, DAS and Public Address in a fast-paced high volume Electrical contracting environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the contract routing process by reviewing contract scope for accuracy.
- Prepare monthly financial forecasts on assigned projects and participate in over/under reviews.
- Prepare change order requests as required.
- Negotiate change orders with customer for timely approval.
- Follow up with prime customers regarding slow or non-payment issues.
- Works closely with pre-planning department to provide value engineering input or alternate cost savings measures on assigned projects.
- Prepare detailed schedule of value forms for monthly billing.
- Monitors the receipt of payments from the GC/Owner.
- Interacts and communicates effectively with electrical Project Managers and project engineers on internal projects to ensure pertinent information is processed on a timely basis.
- Coordinates closely with field operations staff ensuring they are always informed and up to date with regards to the current contract status between the General Contractor or Owner and Baker Electric.
- Negotiate project pricing with vendors.
- Prepare and Issue purchase orders to partner vendors.
- Review and approve material invoices.
- Works closely with project engineer in preparing front end deliverables such as product data, shop drawings, manufacture qualifications, installer qualifications etc.
- Coordinates with project engineer in preparing close-out documents such as Test Reports, Warranty Registration, As-Built Drawings.
- Visits sites periodically to perform QC checks on Field Operations work and performance.
- Provides schedule input to the customer to ensure scope durations are accounted for.
- Occasionally assist in estimating the groups opportunities as needed.
Key 30, 60, 90 Day Accomplishments
- First 30: Successful candidate will immediately begin managing approximately $2Mil in backlog.
- First 60: Begin opening new projects as awarded, managing them from inception to completion.
- First 90: Continue to manage the groups infrastructure projects ensuring profitable and timely completions.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the telecommunications cabling infrastructure trade.
- Minimum of 6 years experience in managing Systems Infrastructure projects that include Structured Cabling (Horizontal & OSP), CATV, CCTV, DAS and Public Address.
- PMP "Project Management Professional" or CPM "Certified Project Manager" a plus
- RCDD preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or other related Construction Management software
- Proficiency in Accubid, Accubid Change Order or other related Construction Estimating software

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
