Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage IT infrastructure assets inventory (servers, storage, routers, firewalls, access points, etc.)
- Renew yearly IT infrastructure assets maintenance and support contracts (servers, storage, routers, firewalls, access points, etc.)
- Perform 2nd level help desk duties to assist helpdesk technicians.
- Support new IT infrastructure projects.
- Assist in the preparation of IT infrastructure yearly budget.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network outages and hardware issues as they relate to IT infrastructure.
- Upgrade IT infrastructure as needed (firmware, application updates, security patches, etc.)
- Must be able to collaborate with other IT team members where infrastructure knowledge and skills are required.
- Other duties as assigned.

•This job posting requires full time employment.
•Maximum of 25% travel will be required to other company manufacturing facilities and/or vendor/customer sites.
•Some after-hours work could be required this could include evenings and/or weekends.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Cisco certifications are a plus but not required as long as knowledge can be verified/confirmed.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MS active directory, remote desktop services, WAN/LAN networking, virtualization, storage and backup technologies
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:
Windows Active Directory
Knowledge of how to manage MS Active Directory Sites and Services, Users and Computers, Group Policy, etc.
Hardware knowledge
Routers, servers, PCs, printers, and other equipment all fall under this position. The engineer must have the knowledge and skills to manage LANs and wired/wireless networks to connect these devices.
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
Extensive knowledge of MS Remote Desktop Services (RDS), RDS server administration and WYSE and Dell thin client deployments, administration, and support. Knowledge of Citrix XenApp administration, troubleshooting, and support.
Virtualization/VMWare
Extensive knowledge in setting up a VMWare hypervisor (standalone/cluster) and configuring the VMWare network and storage for high availability/VMotion.
Storage arrays
Extensive knowledge in setting up a storage array (EMC, HP MSA, NetApp, Pure Storage) for file sharing (CIFS) and for VMWare shared datastore storage via ethernet, DAS or fiber channel.
Networking
Extensive understanding of network concepts and technology and how to apply them. VLANs/subnets, DHCP, DNS, etc.
Troubleshooting network issues such as connectivity, latency, etc.
Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless LAN controllers and access points a plus.
Backup
Extensive knowledge in VEEAM backup technology. Must be able to configure a VEEAM backup server to backup virtual servers in VMWare as well as monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot failed backups.
Barracuda backup devices knowledge a plus.
Problem-solving skills
Able to work with many pieces of hardware and software. Strong deductive reasoning and patience for troubleshooting.
Customer service
The Infrastructure Engineer will work with internal and as well as external partners. Communicating well with these "customers" helps the engineer resolve outages quickly and build strong working relationships.
Teaching ability
The Infrastructure Engineer may need to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and train them to use software and hardware.
