Overview
We are seeking an IT Desktop Support candidate for a contract-to-direct assignment in Hillsboro, Oregon. The selected candidate will apply a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures related to computer hardware support in an enterprise environment.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
This position is on-site
This position has a pay rate of $30 - $35/hr
Candidates with ServiceNow experience are highly preferred
Candidates with an A+, MCSE or -N+ Certification are highly preferred

Responsibilities
- Responsible for computer hardware support, maintenance and troubleshooting; PC network connectivity, computer installs, ticket resolution and end user application support
- Support smartphones and wireless devices from installation, setup and problem resolution
- Perform 2nd level support of desktop hardware in a Windows environment using TCP/IP connectivity
- Installs software, hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, network interface cards and disk drives
- Perform PC adds / moves / changes
- Effectively supports windows specific applications
- Supports iPhone / Android devices and other approved communication devices (cellular and wireless) including: setup, server configuration, desktop / laptop configuration, profiles, account connections and troubleshooting
- Coordinates and supports activities assigned by the Service Desk, Infrastructure Team or other information systems groups
- Provides updates, status and completion information according to published procedures
- Enters and completes work order and service call information via the ServiceNow tracking system
- Maintains inventory of capital equipment and computer parts used in performing maintenance
- Ability to process and close a minimum of 65 service tickets per month (should that level be necessary)
- Ability to travel to different locations in the Portland area
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Proven experience in an IT support role; both remote and in-person
- Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft software and system operating loads, problem ticket resolution and end user application support
- ServiceNow experience is highly preferred
- An A+, MCSE or -N+ Certification is highly preferred
