Job description

Job Title: IT Helpdesk Support
Location: Austin, TX(Onsite)
Duration: 3 months(CTH)
Job Responsibilities:
• Daily time spent: 50% hands on with IT equipment, 25% remote user support, 25% helping on-site users and other duties as assigned
• Provide Tier-1 remote user trouble shooting and support
• Provide Tier-2 hands-on computer work and end user trouble shooting support
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
• Responsible for responding to emails, chats, helpdesk tickets, and contacting end users when providing IT support
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution within the established business processes
• Support and install software, image/install Windows on computers, configure or set up computers for end users
• Trouble shoot Dell hardware issues with laptops, desktop PCs, tablets, docking stations, monitors, headsets, and other IT equipment
• Maintain onsite IT equipment by receiving, inventorying, imaging, collecting, and deploying IT assets to end users
• Coordinate with vendors such as Dell to repair or replace equipment
• Lift and move IT end user computer equipment around the facility daily
• Provide excellent customer service and professionalism when communicating with our client, employees, or vendors
• Participate in team meetings, adhere to time and attendance policies, have a positive attitude, and works well with others
• Proficient with Client Office Products including Word and Excel
• Proficient typing skills in order to respond quickly to Outlook emails, Teams chats, and data entry using Excel/Word or Web systems
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of IT related experience
• Must be detailed orientated and have strong organization skills
• Possess a professional demeanor
• Have excellent customer service sills
• Computer literate and knowledge of IT systems or software to determine if a malfunction is in the hardware or software
• Ability be able to communicate effectively both written and orally in a polite and friendly manner
• Ability to work independently but also well with others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of data information
• Ability to learn quickly and take direction from other team members and management
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment
Preferred skills:
• IT related computer certificates or training
• Associates degree in IT related field
• IT trouble shooting skills, Windows 10 or 11, VPN clients (Cisco AnyConnect or Global Protect), Active Directory (AD) Password resets and accessing user accounts, imaging computers or installing Windows 10, maintaining equipment inventory, Client Office Products, File Shares, helpdesk ticketing systems, installing software, general network trouble shooting, configuring Outlook email / Client Teams, remote desktop tools, Dell laptops, Dell docking stations/ePorts, dell monitors, WiFi/Wireless, IP address, VPN, Ethernet cables, mobile cellular device support, Multi-factor Authentication (MFA), SharePoint, Remedy, Cherwell, Cisco telephones, Jabber, Finesse, Verint, Bomgar, Zoom, Client Azure, Client PPM (Project & Portfolio Management), domains, DNS, Telco Rooms, Server Rooms, racked equipment, patch panels, Client Forms, Client Power Automate, WorkDay, Deltek, RightFax, OpenText, OneDrive, SCCM, and Software Center
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit for up to 80% of time
• Ability to lift objects up to 60 pounds
• May require crawling underneath cubicle desks or office desks to connect power cables or wires
• Frequent typing, use of computer, telephone, headset, and office equipment
