We are seeking a skilled Cloud Operations Manager – Hybrid Remote (home/office) who will be instrumental in transitioning Hanger’s infrastructure technology stack to the cloud. The successful candidate will have experience in Microsoft Azure to lead our Infrastructure Operations and Integration functions. As the Cloud Operations and Integration Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management, optimization, and troubleshooting of our on-premise and cloud infrastructure. In addition, this role will have direct responsibility for the success of Hanger’s merger and acquisition (M&A) technology infrastructure initiatives, ensuring that technology services are documented, future-state plans are defined, and migrations are completed appropriately. This positon reports to the Director, Infrastructure.
- Lead and manage a team of infrastructure operations engineers to ensure the smooth operation of our legacy and cloud technology infrastructure. Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, security, and cost. Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues.
- Lead and manage a core team of IT infrastructure technicians that provide readiness assessments and develop IT due diligence integration plans for new acquisitions; align with IT PMO and other departments to ensure a smooth integration.
- Develop and maintain an IT infrastructure integration strategy, procedures, documentation, KPIs, etc., which will be integrated into all existing and future M&A activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement new infrastructure solutions including the development and maintenance of infrastructure documentation, policies, and procedures. As a subject matter expert in Cybersecurity control management you will provide oversight and support for infrastructure service capabilities across all technology domains with Cybersecurity related controls and services. This includes but is not limited to technology design, implementation, engineering, reporting, and support functions.
- Management of the database technology function and related operations including day-to-day incident and change management, planning, and project support.
- As a subject matter expert in cloud service technologies the individual will provide leadership in the design, development, and delivery of cloud solutions in both on-premise and public cloud service areas. Mentoring Jr. staff members in appropriate design, sizing, estimating, and securing cloud services is a critical component of success.
- Budgetary accountability for infrastructure operational and capital budgets including spend tracking, forecasting, and operational management.
- Must have expert level knowledge and design experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Powershell, Linux, Microsoft Endpoint Management (SCCM and SCOM). Must have design and administration experience with hardware in areas including compute, storage and backup. Experience with x86 hardware and Enterprise Storage Appliances and Arrays is required. Must have design experience with compute and storage provisioning and administration in AWS and/or Azure.
- Vendor Management – Manage third-party vendors and IT service providers for both existing systems as well as new integrations. Identify suitable vendors, negotiate vendor contracts and pricing for products and services, and ensure that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations.
- Leadership – Leadership Matters and in this role you will be accountable to managing a team of individuals to include team development, individual development, goal management, and reporting.
- Up to 10% travel within the continental United States is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8 years of related experience to include:
- 5 years of experience in the development of critical applications for multi-users systems
- 2 years of technical leadership and architecture experience

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 12 years of related experience to include:
- 5 years of experience in the development of critical applications for multi-users systems
- 2 years of technical leadership and architecture experience
- 5+ years of experience managing information technology operations including 2+ years managing Cloud Operations in a production environment, with at least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience managing and leading a team of technology operations engineers.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience with cloud security and compliance.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices; experience overseeing network integration projects with third-party cabling vendors.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience managing integration activities, specifically related to M&A standardization and operations.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible as well as operational services such as SCCM, and SCOM.
