We created a unique Intern Development Program which has deep levels of support and involvement from the entire IT team.
The intern program includes formal and on-the-job training focused on building insurance, technical, and professional skills. A blended learning approach keeps participants engaged in group sessions with subject matter experts, web-based courses, job shadowing, and hands-on training.
We are seeking a highly motivated college student to enter Arbella's IT Intern Development Program as an IT Business Analyst Intern!
Once hired, a program participant is assigned an IT peer mentor. The IT Business Analyst Intern will assist senior team members in producing process analysis, writing business requirements, writing test plans, and executing test scripts. They will learn source system data and different query tools. The IT Business Analyst intern will work closely with our business partners and other IT teams to ensure high quality project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test cases and results documentation
- Participate and assist in producing assigned deliverables
- Complete process analysis
- Gather and write business requirements
- Complete Test Plans and Test cases
- Execute test scripts
- Gain an understanding of the source system data
- Execute queries utilizing Arbella query tools
- Gain an understanding of the Arbella software development life cycle
- Develop a working knowledge of insurance products and forms
- Develop a working knowledge of insurance and rating processes
Requirements:
- College students, preferably a junior or senior, with a major in Business, Computer Science or Information Technology
- Excellent customer service, communication (verbal and written), writing and collaboration skills. Must be detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Internships, co-op assignments or part time work in IT desirable
