Job Description

• Business Analyst will work with SME's and IT teams to map out current state integrations to the Energy Trading Risk Management(ETRM) systems including what type of data and format. He/she will document current state and then work with implementation partner to document future state integrations for new ETRM being implemented. BA will work with development manager and PM but will need to schedule and drive requirement sessions. They need to document what current Phoenix(ETRM) system talks to today.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business needs, processes, and goals. Document requirements, process workflows, and use cases using appropriate tools and methodologies.
• Conduct analysis and gap assessment: Analyze current business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Propose solutions that align with business objectives and IT capabilities.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT development teams, and external vendors. Ensure clear and effective communication, resolve conflicts, and manage expectations.
• Develop functional specifications: Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications. Document user stories, business rules, data definitions, and system behavior to guide development and testing activities.
• Support solution delivery: Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure successful delivery of solutions. Provide guidance, clarification, and support throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform testing and validation: Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, validate the solution against business requirements, and ensure proper functionality and usability.
• Provide training and support: Assist in the creation and delivery of training materials and user documentation. Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end users after solution implementation.
• Monitor and evaluate solution performance: Track and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions. Identify areas for further improvement and optimization.

Desired Experience:

• At least 5+ years of proven experience as an IT Business Analyst (Energy or utilities industry experience would be a big plus).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with IT systems and technologies, including enterprise applications, databases, and reporting/visualization tools.
• Understanding of project management processes and principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
