Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Administrator to join our team, responsible for providing local support to users and overseeing the management of outside IT service providers. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve a variety of IT-related issues. This role requires a proactive and customer-focused individual who can ensure the smooth operation of our local IT environment.
Responsibilities:
User Support for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac platforms::
- Provide technical support to end-users, both remotely and on-site.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, and other IT peripherals.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to address escalated issues and implement solutions.
Service Provider Management:
- Liaise with external IT service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of service providers against established SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- Manage relationships with vendors and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with procurement to negotiate contracts and service level terms.
Network and Infrastructure:
- Assist in the management and maintenance of local networks and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with the IT team to implement changes and upgrades as needed.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the security and integrity of local IT systems.
Documentation and Training:
- Create and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices.
- Ensure that documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to the team.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and practices.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices.
- Conduct periodic security assessments and address vulnerabilities.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with IT teams across different locations to share best practices and ensure consistency.
- Communicate effectively with end-users, management, and external service providers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in IT support and administration.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking technologies.
- Experience managing relationships with external IT service providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Apple Certified Support Professional, Apple Certified IT Professional or equivalent are a plus.
