Job Purpose:

The IT Administrator will work closely with the Technology Area Leader to oversee the development, implementation, and use of technology, working closely with staff to assess and address user and company needs. The candidate must have a broad knowledge of emerging technologies to provide guidance and expertise in aligning the organization's short and long-term IT needs with its strategic goals and objectives. The Assistant IT Administrator may be expected to work before or after normal working hours and from remote locations in order to troubleshoot and address technology problems and to implement software and hardware upgrades and modifications.


Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

· Perform tasks as directed by Technology Area Leader.

· Assist the Technology Area Leader in the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications and peripherals.

· Provide support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance.

· Provide day-to-day technical support to company team members.

· Assist with setup of technology at events such as meetings and training events.

· Assist in maintaining servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment.

· Assist with backup, disaster & recovery plan.

· Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

· Job related, post-secondary education or applicable experience

· Microsoft Office Suite competent

· Computer and printer troubleshooting and repair skills are needed.

· Proficient with Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems

· Experience in Active Directory

· Storage Management - Configure and Monitoring

· Proficiency with automation tools and scripting

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal relationship skills

· Preferred: VMWare virtualization - ESXi, vSphere
