The Position:
The Revenue Accountant, reporting to the Accounting Manager, is responsible for all billing related activities for the Cost-Plus Clients & Facilities. Cost-Plus billing is a collection of all costs incurred by a client. These are direct costs such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
The compensation range for this is position is 57K-67K per year, depending on experience.
Your Day-to-Day:
As a Revenue Accountant at Barrett you can expect to perform duties such as:
• Responsible for the collection and calculation of hours associated with Cost-Plus Clients.
• Provide facility Management summary reports of costs with data analytics.
• Provide Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Reconciliation of Facility and Labor costs.
• Audit FTE & Temporary employee hours using the Barrett time collection system or Vendor Invoices
• Run General Ledger Reports Identifying Supplies & Services to bill back to clients
• Manage the timeliness of rate increases stipulated in contracts.
• Assist in Balance Sheet & Income Statement accounts and related reconciliations in relation to Month-End close
• Knowledge of generating invoices in an ERP system; and assist in daily, weekly & monthly imports as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field required.
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience in an accounting department or related position required.
• Cost-plus billing or 3PL experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Prior accounting software/ERP knowledge. NetSuite, Sage (Peachtree), Salesforce.com, Tableau, ADP preferred.
• Intermediate or advanced experience in all Microsoft business applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Must demonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skills with ability to collaborate well with different types of people in multiple locations.
• Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills, analytical skills and attention to detail.
