Job Summary
The Risk, Governance, & Reporting (RGR) team operates within HCA Healthcare’s Information Protection & Security department. The RGR team focuses on the areas of risk management, remediation, and information lifecycle management. This intern position will work alongside RGR team members on key team objectives and learn hands-on application of risk management, information security, governance, and compliance concepts.
This internship would be for the Spring 2024 semesters and will allow the intern to gain experience in a field in which they have interest. There is also an opportunity for the internship to begin immediately.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assess and process requests sent by HCA Healthcare colleagues to the Information Lifecycle shared mailbox.
- Assist with engaging HCA Healthcare colleagues to review and update their assigned security control procedures.
- Responsible for analyzing reports that track the remediation progress of specific security findings and follow-up as appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Information Protection & Security department.
- Develop knowledge of information protection concepts, tools, and industry trends by participating in appropriate educational opportunities.
- Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Values Statement.”

Education & Experience:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree at an accredited university
- Rising juniors, seniors, or first year master’s students preferred
- Candidate must reside within the greater Nashville area
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Required
