Salary range for this position is $125-200k DOE
THE OPPORTUNITY
Gilmartin is seeking a Vice President to join our Tools & Diagnostics team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior Gilmartin executives to identify, pitch and win new client business while managing existing day-to-day client engagements and an internal support team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Support Gilmartin executives by serving as a client account manager – executing and managing investor related goals and deliverables for healthcare sector clients
- Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing client deliverables and timeline; proactively improving IR function
- Managing the quarterly earnings process and conference call logistics – creating press releases, speaker scripts, Q&A materials and presentation materials
- Responding to investor inquiries
- Monitoring and compiling peer group research; following industry, competitor and customer developments and news flow including earnings calls and analyst days - communicating key takeaways to management teams
- Preparing materials for Board of Directors and other internal audiences on Investor Relations activities, share ownership, and valuation as required
- Oversee members of functional client teams on logistical, support and calendar items including:
- Creating and maintaining IR calendar for year
- Collecting and analyzing sell side estimates and maintain consensus model
- Managing investor meetings and conference presentations, including logistics, background materials and the preparation of senior executives
- Maintaining IR section of corporate website
- Logging investor inquiries, maintain database of investor activities
- Support executives in building relationships with investors and analysts
- Have a passion for building IR practices and helping to craft client narratives
- Work collaboratively with Gilmartin team to pitch new business and execute existing business
- Manage and mentor junior staff for day-to-day client needs and career development
- Travel, as needed, to investor conferences and meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in Investor Relations and/or equity analysis at an investment bank or asset management firm
- Background in science and/or experience working with companies in healthcare sector
- Strong understanding of capital markets, Reg FD and other SEC disclosure rules and regulations
- Possess superb written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy financial modeling and equity valuation skills and have a strong command of Excel
- Energized by interacting with external investors and Wall Street constituents
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently while prioritizing deliverables; detail-oriented multi-tasker who enjoys thinking critically to proactively problem solve
- Mature, confident and comfortable interacting with a senior executive leadership team and board
- Strong personal integrity with the highest ethical standards and able to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment and discretion
- Bright, kind, collaborative and motivated by challenge
