Our Private Equity program is currently seeking an Investment Officer I to be responsible for assisting with the administration of the PE Program as directed and assists other CalPERS investment staff. The Investment Officer will maintain a positive team management approach while demonstrating CalPERS Core Values of Quality, Respect, Integrity, Openness, Accountability, and Balance in accordance with personal work ethic in alignment with CalPERS Investment Beliefs.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the lead Associate Investment Manager (AIM) or Investment Manager (IM) in the management of Private Equity investments through various quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Review and implement appropriate action with respect to legal matters impacting investments.
  • Monitor the progress of specific new partnership opportunities through investment evaluation.
  • Support underwriting of new investments by providing analytical and process support to MID, ID, IM, and/or AIM.
Interview Dates: We anticipate interviews to be held one month from the final file date.
Telework Information : This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
