Job Summary
By starting your career in Investment Banking Division as an Analyst with the Center for Carbon Transition you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team. You will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's M&A execution and capital raising capabilities across energy transition themes while helping build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace.
Job Responsibilities
- Working with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams on cleantech and decarbonization focused transactions
- Drafting management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions and in strategic client dialogue
- Building and using data analytics tools, completing valuation and analytical exercises
- Keeping abreast of key energy transition market developments and establishing knowledge of relevant market dynamics, including investor priorities relating to the energy transition
- Support the development and implementation the Firm’s strategy to align, over time, its financing portfolio with net zero emissions by 2050
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior work experience in an Investment Banking front office or related role.
- Demonstrated interest (and ideally prior work experience) in energy, climate and decarbonization themes
- Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills.
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution.
- Understanding of the transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented.
- Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other line of business.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
