- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support investment decisions and opportunities.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of development projects.
- Analyze and interpret financial statements and other financial data.
- Assisting in the preparation of project presentations and communications for senior management, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in asset management activities, including monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for value creation.
- Reviewing and analyzing monthly financial reports compared to budget and proforma.
- Working with asset management and accounting teams to develop property and portfolio level information into reporting packages.
- Facilitating communication between development team members and external stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Understanding of joint venture and preferred equity capital structures, ability to model waterfalls and calculations performance metrics for multiple tiers and partners.
- Expert knowledge of Excel and creation of models.
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong understanding of real estate finance concepts.
- Knowledge of deal structures and purchase and sale terminology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related degree.
- Minimum 3 years of related analytical experience in the real estate investment industry with heavy emphasis on financial modeling using Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (building and maintaining financial models), discounted cash flow analysis.
- Experience with Argus Enterprise software a plus.
- FP&A experience a plus.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to quickly create relationships.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to make sound decisions based on information gathered and analyzed.
- Have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
- Are detail-oriented with a commitment to a high-quality work product.
- Have demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
