Kimbrell’s Furniture is growing and looking to add an Inventory Control Specialist to our team. The Inventory Control Specialist will assist in maintaining the organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with the maintenance of a consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit
Assess inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring ordering
Provide inventory reports to Inventory Team Lead and Director of Marketing and Merchandising
Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors
Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
Conduct frequent spot and partial audit of physical inventory
Assist with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audit
Assist in submitting and processing of vendor charge back request for damaged merchandise
May assist with locating and establishing sources for inventory
Maintain complete and accurate driver logs in accordance with state and federal regulations
Perform other duties as requested
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills
Basic understanding of Inventory Control procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience with computerized inventory systems preferred
