The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for inventory management and location management of all materials. This person will maintain the storage and flow of materials within the warehouse. This person will work with the receiving, purchasing, quality, and production teams to ensure the efficient flow of materials from receipt to production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Control
- Responsible for managing all movements of stock by location, receiving, unloading, inspecting, and backflushing for all raw materials and finished goods.
- Performs Daily cycle counts of inventory with required adjustments for any discrepancies, including annual physical inventory.
- Location mapping and labeling for all products with documented processes for product movements and consumption with BOM and rejected materials.
- Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
- Provides inventory reports to purchasing and Inventory Control manager.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
- Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and transfers made
- Ensure proper billing codes of materials, pricing of PO receipt of goods
- Responsible for unloading, inspecting, and signing for delivered materials from various sources. Must let Purchasing staff know of any discrepancies or damaged materials that arrive.
- Receives material in X3 following the receiving processes. Distributes to warehouse location or QA area for further inspection.
- Ensure that the raw materials warehouse is kept clean and organized on a daily basis.
- Pallets, boxes, and trash are placed in their respective areas. Floors are swept clean and all doors are secured. Waste/ scrap materials are to be consolidated per management direction for proper disposal.
- Must have ability and knowledge to drive a motorized pallet lift and pallet jacks for moving and placing inventory.
- Informs management of potentially dangerous situations or conditions in the work area.
- Replenish inventory locations as required.
- Perform raw material cycle counts as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Prior experience in Receiving, Shipping, Warehousing, or Inventory Management is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
- Hands-on knowledge of inventory related tools and machinery is required.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are needed.
- Must be able to learn quickly and be open to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Schedule flexibility and willingness to work over time when required.
- Must be a team player with ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and follow-up on requests.
- Ability to work under pressure.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to operate a computer and calculator, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
