The Clinical Behavioral Health Program serves adults that have an SMI diagnosis and may have a co-occurring disorder, helping them with their case management needs. Our services are provided in the office and in the community. We are seeking qualified applicants to fill our full-time Therapist III (Senior Clinical Services Caseworker) position. If you have experience in the delivery of case management and treatment services as well as supporting the recovery of clients you could be the ideal candidate. This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments as funds permit. The first installment of $2,500 is payable upon the County's first regular pay date following your position start and the final $2,500 installment will be payable on the pay date following the completion of probation.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
Our Clinical Behavioral Health Program offers a team environment and flexible work hours. As a Therapist III you will support your team by serving as mentor and trainer through appropriate supervision of clinical staff. In this position some of your job responsibilities would include:
- Maintaining a caseload of clinic-based clients
- Providing clinical and administrative supervision to up to 3 clinical therapists.
- Providing clinical and administrative supervision, including licensure supervision for LPC or LCSW
- Provide effective treatment to clients with mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders that result in improved personal outcomes and stabilization of mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, including ASAM Criteria and DLA-20, including formulating diagnoses
- Developing and implementing treatment plans to promote progress of client
- Documentation of all services, contacts and attempted contact with client, their family and collaterals
- Collaborating with other departments, professionals, and other stakeholders in the community (i.e. probation officers, psychiatrists, social workers, private providers, and residential treatment staff)
- Completing clinical record-keeping, court reports and administrative functions
- Maintaining healthy boundaries with clients and their families
- Implementing program, systems, state and federal directives
- Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field
- Possess an unrestricted LPC or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- 2-3 years of experience providing therapy services to adults and families with issues related to mental health, substance use and co-occurring in office and community-based settings
- Experience providing and supervising direct clinical services to adults and families with complex mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorder
- Experience providing clinical supervision to therapists
- Experience with and providing outpatient services
- Experience providing crisis intervention and risk management
- Experience with Medicaid-funded services for adults
- Experience collaborating with other service providers
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Must pass DMV record check
- Must pass TB test
- Must pass and maintain first aid and CPR certification

ENTRY SALARY RANGE: $80,749.50 - $108,322.50
