Job Description
The primary focus of this position will ensure an accurate vehicle inventory and prevent the loss of company assets. Areas of responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Check units in and out of the auction
- Ensure units have the corresponding dealer number on the windshield
- Assist moving units up in the check in line
- Set up cones and direct traffic as needed
- Receive and direct tow units or repo’s, and stamp/sign BOL’s
- Turn in Bill of Ladings to the correct bin
- Issue keys to dealers and transporters and update notes
- Issue gate passes after hours and fill out gate release form
- Utilize window lock boxes on the windows of inoperable consignment vehicles
- Shut hoods and roll up windows of units whenever observed
- Keep work area clean, police trash at all times
- Assist customers with locating units jump starting units; lockouts, gasoline/fuel and air in tires of units
- Push units with the push truck/cart when needed
- Escort unauthorized personnel off the property and notify police when necessary
- Ensure all doors are locked and lights are out
- Secure all entrances to lot
- Patrol buildings/lot/perimeter overnight every two hours checking for breaches
- Monitor cameras
- Complete nightly activity reports
- Receive and pass on information from shift to shift
- Clear path and guide first responders to the area of emergency
- Respond to accidents on the property and fill out and turn in lot damage/theft reports
- Follow all other directions and complete tasks as instructed to by management
