Summary
At Michigan Medicine, our PAR Maintenance Assistants build PAR supply carts, slot product, place product in appropriately sized bins, and arrange bins in correct sequence based on new Inventory Management Strategy. You will serve as the departmental contact for any PAR level questions or concerns related to supply quotas or cart changes for established PAR customers and follow up on any customer concerns over PAR levels. You will provide leadership while effectively working with others to resolve issues and concerns, as well as completing assignments. As a member of our team, you will work to meet with customers to view supply carts and to discuss potential rearrangement of supplies or need for additional supplies/carts. Responsibilities*
- Develop inventory management plans to support both clinical and operational teams.
- Help manage current and potential product shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise interested parties of status, and recovery plans.
- Coordinate material movement between Transactional Purchasing, vendors, warehouse operations, and clinical areas for availability of medical supplies.
- Utilize ERP (PeopleSoft) to ensure that data is accurate and up to date.
- Provide input for new item setup and help manage inventory accuracy.
- Thoroughly review, familiarize, and understand existing ERP structure as well as the physical products.
- Key participant in developing and managing PAR Management Policies and Procedures.
- Help Supply Chain Operational teams manage inventory levels to meet institutional goals.
- Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy; investigate and reconcile discrepancies and negatives.
- Analyze data and collaborate with Inventory Control Manager and Supply Chain Analysts to determine and apply appropriate ordering, inventory, and replenishment policies.
Required Qualifications*
- A minimum of 1-3 years of progressive responsibility in Inventory Control at a hospital system with a background in a clinical supply management.
- Demonstrated experience with supply chain, purchasing and Inventory Control and planning as a main job function.
- Experience working with clinical personnel and medical products.
- Proficiency with Excel, and a strong aptitude for technology and data analytics.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to work on a multidisciplinary team in a highly collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Background Screening
