Position Title:OCTG Processing Specialist - Inventory Control (Oil Country Tubular Goods - Steel Pipe)
Position Purpose: Responsible for the scheduling and Inventory Control administration of OCTG processing - threading / end finishing. Will monitor 3rd party processors as well in a hybrid form, and partner company scheduling. Focused on the supply chain and Processing coordination of Oil Country Tubular Goods OCTG - steel pipe for oil & gas drilling applications. Act as an agent (with limited autonomy) of the Company to facilitate sales administration of steel scrap and secondary material under the direction of business General Manager.

Responsibilities and Competencies* (The list / description below is not intended to be exhaustive)
PROCESSING & SUPPLY CHAIN ADMINISTRATION:
- Running reports daily to reconcile changes in inventory. Taking calls, visiting partner locations, overseeing intricate documents and reconciling inventory levels of finished products and WIP. Verify that inventory level on record equals physical inventory!
- Observing lead times and using information to schedule.
- Ensuring that the demands of the customer can and will be met under the agreed upon terms by verifying real time product availability and logistics capacity.
- Monitor and influence any product processing or value-add service, and manage or influence logistics (receiving, tracking, transferring), and recordkeeping through teamwork in order to meet the demanding sales environment. Complete all documentation including orders, invoices, transfers, etc.
- Generate management information reports as directed (e.g. monthly management reports, change reports, open order reports, inventory reconciliation reports, etc.).
- Analyze and monitor costs, source cost-savings solutions, and act upon cost-saving initiatives wherever discovered.
Qualifications
Education/Certification: At minimum, High School Diploma, but preferred Associate's or Bachelor’s degree inBusiness,Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related.
Experience Required: 2+ years of supply chain experience; a PLUS to have steel and/or tubulars/pipe business experience inventory, supply chain, procurement.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to travel locally* (non-overnight) 33% of the time to visit inventory locations. *Strong interpersonal skills with ability to both serve both vendor/supplier relationships and external customers.
Strong customer service skills with proven ability to act with acute care and appreciation for vendors and customers while also acting with win-win attitude and using such perspective to persuade customers to do business with the Company.
Ability to manage and cope with intense speeds and high levels of problem-solving, and manage schedule for fulfillment of orders.
Ability to operate relevant computer applications, proprietary software after training, and related business equipment without assistance.
Ability to self-manage and maintain an effective and efficient workflow.

ENVIRONMENTAL:* (1) Comfort to walk pipe yard facilities and observe and count material, (2) Ability to work effectively in an open office setting using, but not limited to, filing systems, computer systems, applicable software, lifting items of nominal weight, etc., (3) Ability to work easily from phone or tablet or laptop while on the road.
