Inventory Control Administrator

The Inventory Control Administrator will be based out of Fort Edward, New York (1 Eddy Street, 12828) and will control inventory transaction activities to ensure accurate records of raw material quantities and activities. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/TASC required; Associate’s degree or other related coursework or certification may be helpful.
- 2 years of warehousing and inventory experience preferred
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
Inventory Control:
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for all raw materials and parent rolls at the Fort Edward site and our outside storage and co-packing locations. Details include preparing and coordinating periodic and low stock cycle counts, participating in counts, identifying discrepancies, reconciling, researching shipping, receiving and other transactional errors, identifying root causation and implementing procedures/controls/training recommendations to mitigate future occurrences.
- Training, monitoring, and providing feedback, guidance, and direction to 50+ employees.
Material Planning:
- Adjust reorder points, monitor stock levels, place replenishment orders, schedule deliveries with transportation providers, and update delivery information on inbound schedule and monitor delivery status for various raw materials.
- Adjust inventory levels to match planning needs.
Hold / Reject Process Logistics Leadership:
- Identify issues and work with the quality, converting, planning, and accounting departments to prepare resolution plans for held / reject materials. This includes coordinating returns of rejected raw material to vendor, ensuring disposition plans are followed and that transactions are properly reflected and accounted for in system.
Reporting:
- Responsible for preparing and publishing reports and communicating findings to stakeholders. This requires good written and verbal communication.
- Technical spreadsheet skills are needed to manipulate data, create charts and graphs, and design data driven analytics used to guide business decision-making.
Documentation and training support:
- Define/update end user documentation, identify needs, schedule, and deliver end user training for inventory related processes. This includes building strong relationships with users and other stakeholders.
Administrative:
- Process transactions in various systems, monitor EDI exceptions, and open receipt quantities and filing.
- Coordinate and lead the paper mill operations to ensure the achievement of department objectives for safety, product quality, productivity, cost to manufacture, and customer service.
