Inventory & Traffic Control Associate
RESPONSIBILITY:
JOB DUTIES:
- Count materials, finished goods, and supplies in stock on a weekly, monthly, and as needed basis.
- Report and correct discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
- Respond to Production Control Inquiries.
- Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for.
- Investigate/find and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories.
- Have a basic understanding of Domestic and International shipping procedures and documentation.
- Process Bills of Lading, export documents, schedule carriers and forwarders. Ensure timely arrival of all outbound carriers.
- Track shipments, resolve carrier issues (damage, shortage, etc.) and customs issues promptly.
- Minimal local travel may be required.
EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Able to communicate effectively in English both written and orally.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in part handling, Production Control, supply chain management or Inventory Management preferred.
- Two (2) years’ experience in Logistics and Traffic, Shipping & Receiving dock procedures preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
