GENERAL SUMMARY:
Relies on instructions and established procedures and processes to receive parts, and maintain inventory. The Inventory Control Clerk is a self-starter who is reliable, flexible, and able to work well independently and under direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives parts. Duties include checking parts in and verifying against packing slips, entering receipt in Macola data base, and putting parts away in correct bin or shelf, taking care to rotate stock.
- Maintains inventory in multiple locations. Keeps inventory bins full at all times from back stock. Alerts supervisor when stocks get low and of assemblers’ stock needs.
- Conducts accurate cycle counts weekly of critical parts.
- Responsible for maintaining the warehouse area in a clean and orderly fashion for the flow and safety of all employees.
- Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- This position requires a versatile person who is detail oriented, learns quickly, follows instruction, and is able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Basic math skills required.
- Computer literate and basic MS Excel experience required.
- Must be willing and able to complete forklift training and certification.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent strongly desired.
- Forklift certification is not required but is a plus.
- Prior experience is desired but not absolutely required.
