Our Interpreter facilitates effective and accurate verbal communication between the patient the patient's family and Dignity Health Arizona Service Area professionals.

Located in Phoenix Az this position is critical to the success of St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.

MINIMUM :

One (1) year successful experience in a healthcare setting or bilingual education

High School diploma or equivalent

Dignity Health Qualified Medical Interpreter program within six (6) months of hire

Must pass oral and written medical terminology proficiency evaluation for the interpreter's specific language pair (i.e. English/Spanish)

Comprehensive knowledge of English/Spanish medical terminology and Spanish & English language in general

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certified Healthcare Interpreter

Spanish Bilingual Assistant (SBA) class diploma or equivalent
