Inventory Management Intern
Project Name: Supply House and Maintenance Harmonization
Project Duration: 3months
Paid Internship: The pay rate for this internship is commensurate with the candidate's years of schooling and major. The pay scale is between $15 - $26 per hour.
Requirements:
Supply Chain Management Degree Preferred
Location: Marble Hill, Georgia & Whitestone, Georgia
PROJECT SCOPE:
Harmonize current inventory and non-inventory MRO parts in the Supply House in both Whitestone and Marble Hill locations.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION & DELIVERABLES:
This position requires an individual who is willing and capable of learning all facets of Procurement and Inventory management. The intern will work closely with internal and external resources to learn about MRO Supply House functions including ordering, picking, and inventory control. Hands-on data-driven harmonization of materials maintained within the company's sites to create one list of on-hand in-stock parts for maintenance.
PROJECT LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Gain a better understanding of Procurement practices
Gain a better understanding of Inventory and Material management
Gain experience working on a cross-functional team
Gain experience in Supply House organization
Gain a better understanding of Industrial MRO and OEM parts
Learn systems such as AX dynamics and introduction to SAP
