Description:
Automotive Service Director needed for reputable import dealership on the North Shore of MA. The successful candidate is a proven automotive Service Director who is process driven, consistent, and someone who truly leads by example. This is a great opportunity to take over a clean department with a solid team in place with good CSI. Must be professional in both dress and demeanor, and able to interact with an affluent customer base. It is important that the Service Director hired believes in providing a great customer experience so that customer retention and CSI are in the green. Moreover, the dealer is looking for a Service Director that sees the big picture, in addition to the day-to-day details, and thrives on maximizing their department’s potential. It is very important that the person hired is a great team builder, leads by example, and is a resource to their employees. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department
- Create and implement processes to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability in the service department.
- Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals.
- Hold daily and weekly meetings for the department, as well as 1:1s with individual team members.
- Ensure the department has green CSI through building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring that they receive high-quality service.
- Oversee the Service Advisors and ensure that ROs are written up and closed out in a timely manner.
- Manage and supervise the service technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and within established timelines.
- Provide training to service technicians to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Recruit, interview and train service staff; handle performance reviews
- Create an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty
- Develop and manage budgets and operating plans for the service department, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the latest automotive technologies and stay current on industry trends.
- Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
- Monitor/control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Ensure the Service area is customer-customer ready with proper displays and information
