Job Summary
The Inventory Management Specialist is accountable to maintain the organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items and maintain accurate records of all procurements.
Primary Duties
- Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.
- Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
- Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager.
- Develops and maintains professional and constructive working relationships with vendors.
- Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assists with physical inventory audits.
- Operates forklift truck when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.
- Reports to work on a regular, consistent basis; performs work safely.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills with internal departments and outside vendors
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to quickly develop professional and constructive relationships with outside vendors and internal stakeholders
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Bi-lingual English'Korean
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree in business related discipline preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with computerized inventory systems desired
- Forklift operator certification preferred or capable to achieve certification
Normal Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
8 am – 5 pm. Some overtime may be required.
Working Conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors and/or any number of elements.
Working conditions for this positions are split between the plant and office settings.
