Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s North Carolina Battery Plant (TBMNC) Internal Logistics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Internal Logistics Manager with a passion to develop Team Members and create Toyota's path forward with Perfect Layout, Equipment Design, Process Design, Automation, and Innovation across North America creating the perfect battery for TBMNC customers.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the TBMNC Internal Logistics Team and drive supply chain cost reduction through the development and deployment of Perfect Layout, Equipment Design, Process Design, Automation, Innovation, and training of members in Toyota TPS concepts.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Production Control, the person in this role will support the Production Internal Logistics department's objective to develop Team Members and lead the development of Perfect Layout, Equipment Design, Process Design, Automation, and Innovation.

What you’ll be doing

• Develop and lead Team Members.
• Demonstrate the Toyota Way through daily actions.
• Develop the Core Internal Logistics (IL) team and processes for TBMNC ILE.
• Develop annual and long-term strategies for the Internal Logistics.
• Drive standardization of policy, practice, process, and tools across the region.
• Lead cross-functional IL projects to troubleshoot and improve automationChallenge and break down the ideal situation and current systems in pursuit of establishing the optimal business process to improve supply chain performance using efficient problem-solving and counter measure development.
• Develop and execute a strategy to standardize equipment and maintenance through 3 Pillar.
• Collaborate directly with NAMC departments and Pilot Engineers to confirm process requirements, tool development, and system compliance requirements.
• Sustain a work environment that drives FIFO of all products through pc zone to production in takt-driven processes.
• Work with the PC team to ensure parts make it to production and the external customer in a timely fashion.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree or 5 Years of manufacturing experience in plant Logistics.
• Toyota manufacturing experience.
• Toyota Internal Systems Development and Implementation Experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional working groups.
• Experience in a NAMC Line setup.
• Training and developing TM’s to design equipment.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Examples of plant Internal Logistics Basic plan design from start to SOP.
• Capability to teach Framp Miles/MIFC to new PEs and other NAMCs.

Added bonus if you have

• Project Management Experience.
• Knowledge of Toyota Internal Logistics System – TPCS, ILMS, Hot call system, etc.
• Soar cross-functional team experience.
• 3 Pillar capability for set up and sustainment.
