Job Description:
- Create narratives to map out Financial Reporting processes.
- Lead control walkthroughs and assess design effectiveness.
- Design control test procedures and test attributes.
- Generate sample selections for SOX control testing.
- Manage the SOX control testing document request process.
- Test business process controls, IT general controls, application controls, and entity-level controls for operating effectiveness.
- Identify control failures and perform root cause analyses.
- Facilitate communication with external auditors.
- Provide advice to control owners on how to design more robust controls.
- Train other teams on Financial Reporting risks and controls.
- 1+ years in Internal Audit or external audit
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferred
- Microsoft Office proficiency; high-level of comfort with Excel
- Proactive - Doesn't just complete their assigned tasks, but actively looks to take on additional work to add more value to Groupon.
- Inquisitive - Regularly asks questions in meetings and is willing to probe to get to the root cause of issues.
- Responsive - Responds to e-mails and chats quickly. Sends follow-up e-mails with action items after meetings.
