SALARY
This position has a base salary range of $96,000.00 - $144,00.00 USD Annual . This range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience and time in the role.
SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Audit Director in developing, and timely completion of a risk-based Annual Audit Plan. Understanding the business processes, internal control environment, risks associated with business processes and executing the test plan to generate value added audit results. This role includes managing a team; therefore, the Audit Manager will also be responsible for the direct report’s training, performance management and development.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in developing a comprehensive risk-based annual Internal Audit Plan.
2. Lead the team in successful completion of annual Audit Plan ensuring the highest quality work is delivered timely.
3. Develop audit test plan to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with regulations and applicable policies and procedures.
4. Prepare recommendations that are actionable, add value to the business processes and lead to overall success of BCU.
5. Review the work of staff, ensuring that the work is performed to test key areas of risk, and testing documentation supports the test results.
6. Develop staff by providing on-the-job coaching, identifying training opportunities and by assigning challenging tasks that further their skills and abilities.
7. Monitor or participate in significant BCU projects or committees to monitor goals, operational success, identify risks, and compliance with regulations.
8. Assist in the coordination of external audits and regulatory audits of BCU.
9. Perform other special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Five or more years of auditing experience in financial institutions, or other relevant experience.
  • CIA or CPA is required.
  • 1-2 years of managerial experience.
  • Strong knowledge of audit, risk management, and regulatory expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess strong organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, leadership and technical skills required.
