The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team's success, learn about JM Family's companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more.
The ideal candidate will be available to work full time hours during the Summer Internship Program (June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024).
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Intern is a paid position and the ideal candidate will be available to work full-time hours onsite in Deerfield Beach, FL during the Summer Internship Program (June 2024 - August 2024) and will continue to work part time hours until August 2025.
The TA Intern will gain exposure on projects, presentations and assignments that relate to Talent Acquisition as well as projects promoting companywide initiatives. This internship will provide opportunities for personal and professional development while working in a team environment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Participate and contribute as an active member of the JM Family's Intern Program team.
- Interact and follow up with applicants interested in opportunities within JM Family Enterprises and its family of companies.
- Engage in activities related to the recruitment and selection for Summer Interns, including resume review, interview scheduling, pre-screening, extending job offers and providing application updates to candidates.
- Partner with schools & universities to promote and post internship opportunities to identify top talent across diverse backgrounds.
- Conduct competitive research and sourcing via social media platforms; specifically, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Provide suggestions on how to expand current sourcing strategies to support the TA team.
- Offer insight for developing and elevating all aspects of the Internship Program.
- Provide support to hiring managers across JM Family and its family of companies through the end-to-end recruitment process, and duration of summer internship program.
- Contribute to the content and design of the intern onboarding process; participate in and facilitate the Orientation session for summer interns.
- Partner with internal Corporate Communications and Marketing teams, to create and implement new ideas, promoting brand awareness and market the Summer Internship Program through various social media platforms.
- Coordinate and Facilitate Activities and Events throughout the Summer Internship Program.
- Connect with vendors to organize and purchase gifts and inventory for Intern & Recruitment events.
- Assist with other Talent Acquisition team tasks & projects as assigned, act as the main point of contact for interns throughout the Internship Program.
Qualifications:
- Our ideal candidate will be available to work on-site/hybrid and full time at our Deerfield Beach, FL offices for the duration of our 10-week summer program. Other work for the remainder of the internship outside of the summer program, can be done remotely and on a part time basis.
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate degree seeking program at an accredited college or university with a focus in Human Resources or related fields.
- Minimum completion of at least one semester of classes; relevant and completed coursework in Human Resources Operations, Employer Branding, Marketing and/or strong focus in Event Planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Prior internship, professional work and graphic design experience preferred.
- Candidates should be detail oriented, creative, curious, and willing to contribute as a team player.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and experience with Canva.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to support cross-functional communications with a wide variety of colleagues, including external / internal partners and candidates; and ability to conduct presentations.
- High level of integrity is required due to the confidential nature of the position in our Human Resources department.
- Strong ability to take initiative and work independently on projects/assignments.
- No background in the Automotive Industry is necessary.
