Wearwell is a global industry leader in the anti-fatigue matting market.
This is an internship opportunity for a professional interested in getting "hands-on" experience in engineering, product development, and manufacturing operations. Incumbent will work alongside experienced professionals while supporting operations.
Hours per week = 10 - 15
This is a paid internship.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Engineering and Operations to learn about our products, processes, and systems.
- Aid in the development and design of products.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment.
- Conduct time studies and create or modify standardized work instructions.
- Design and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures.
- Practice and comply with guidelines promoting a safe work environment.
- Display a desire for continued professional development.
- Participate in miscellaneous projects and perform other duties as requested.
- React positively to change.
Ideal Candidate:
- A Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in good academic standing with a major concentration in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related degree program.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Professionalism and desire and ability to learn.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and basic CAD.
- This position requires demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work with others in a positive manner.
- Reliable attendance is a must.
