Secretariat is seeking an Intern to join our growing LA-based team of high-performing Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages experts and consultants. In this role, you will leverage your education and experience to provide exceptional client service and work as part of a dynamic team to solve complex problems across multiple industries. Successful Interns at Secretariat are self-driven critical thinkers who take pride in their work and thrive in a competitive environment. Interns work under the direction of others to complete matter-specific tasks and assist with deliverables.
- Perform financial, accounting, and economic analyses
- Prepare detailed, comprehensive work product for incorporation into client deliverables
- Assist with the preparation of expert reports for deposition and trial
- Collect, assess, and summarize quantitative and qualitative research relevant to project issues
- Present results of research and analysis
- Manage time appropriately to meet strict client deadlines
- Available to travel for client meetings and projects, when necessary
- Manage large sets of data in Excel and/or Access for analysis
- Assist with client proposals and other business development activities as need
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics with expected graduation date between December 2024 and August 2025
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Exceptional communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Previous internship(s) and/or on-campus leadership roles preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, SAS, or other database management software preferred
