Job DescriptionAg Tech InternProvides an opportunity for John Deere Ag Tech students to become involved in service-related activities within the dealership. Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman or senior technicians.
Intern program runs in conjunction with the John Deere Ag Tech program, incorporating classroom and hands on learning.Responsibilities:o Actively participates in project assignments centered-around service-related activities at the dealershipo Works with and shadows selected personnel to gain experience in service departmento Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) productso Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeo Maintains... current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productso Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentso Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentso Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned dutiesExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:o High School Diploma or equivalent experience requiredo Pursuing AAS Degree in John Deere Tech programo Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedureso Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmento Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposeso Proficient oral and written communication skillso Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyo Valid drivers license is requiredo Fork lift license preferred"In accordance with Federal law and the U.S.
