Interior Designer (Healthcare)

Dekker Perich Sabatini is seeking Licensed Interior Designers for Healthcare design. As passionate and self-driven team members at DPS, candidates would play a key role in creating inspired designs, backed by the support of a firm that has been a leader in the industry for over 60 years.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in all facets of a project, from research and programming through construction documentation and construction administration.
• Lead, coach and train junior team members.
• Participate and lead client meetings and team coordination sessions.
• Prepare construction documents and architectural specifications for projects of varying scope and size on a variety of product types.
• Create renderings, finish palettes, and other presentation materials throughout the project process to communicate design intent to both internal teams and clients.
• Incorporate evidence-based design principles and research into design decisions.
• Prepare selections and develop specifications for both interior design and furniture packages, as applicable.
• Participate in site visits, submittal review, and other components of the construction administration process.
• Design in accordance with NFPA 101 and FGI.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture required.
• State licensure / NCIDQ certification required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience (With at least 5 years in healthcare design)
• Must have a working knowledge of Revit.
• Residential interior design experience will not be considered for this position. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• EDAC (Evidence-Based Accreditation and Certification) and/or CHID (Certified Healthcare Interior Designer) certifications
