OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The primary purpose of this position: To serve as the senior National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) liaison to the Commander, USSTRATCOM. NOTE: This is a four-year rotational assignment at USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB Nebraska. Upon completion, the NASIC Commander will review requests for one-year extensions.

The organizational location of this position is: National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) (HAF/A2/6); co-located with USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB Nebraska.Qualifications: In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Mastery of a comprehensive range of NASIC intelligence research, collection methods and analytical applications and methodologies that includes the evaluation of many diverse sources of information utilizing multiple intelligence information systems in order to develop USSTRATCOM intelligence capability and threat assessments. Amasses and analyzes in detail intelligence data using multi-source analytical expertise from either regional or functional background/training to current and operational intelligence missions. NOTE: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices; and multi-source intelligence information systems to capture and report on data in order to develop intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, interpret policy, and commit resources.

2. Knowledge of the National Intelligence Community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of NASICs organizations, missions, activities, capabilities, and ability to support USSTRATCOM operations.

4. Comprehensive knowledge of USSTRATCOM intelligence organizations, missions, and operational activities.

5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing; in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work; writing clear and concise intelligence products; and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes.

6. Ability to build and lead collaborative teams between organizations. Ability to work independently; plan, organize, manage multiple priorities; adjust to fluctuating assignments and workloads; and meet deadlines.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Education: This job does not have an education qualification requirement.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
