Permian Basin Overview
ConocoPhillips and its heritage companies have operated in the Permian Basin for almost 100 years. Across New Mexico and Texas, the company holds conventional positions in the Northwest Shelf and Central Basin Platform, and an unconventional position in the Delaware Basin. Permian saw significant growth in 2021 with the acquisition of Concho Resources Inc. in January 2021 and the addition of Shell's Permian acreage in December 2021. At year-end, the company held approximately 1.5 million net acres in the Permian Basin.
Net production for the Permian in 2022 was 461 MBOED.
Description
The Permian Integrated Operations (IO) organization is seeking one highly qualified and motivated individual for the position of IO Engineer. This position provides key technical domain and leadership inside the IO organization to ensure workflows and continuous improvement efforts deliver the business functionality and value expected. This position reports to the Permian IO Operations Technology Supervisor and will work directly with key Permian partners across functional boundaries.
If you are selected to be the Permian IO Engineer, you will have key responsibilities focusing on SCADA related projects, the daily allocation engine, Field Data Capture , operational workflows, and supporting processes. Our vision for the Permian IO Team is to integrate people, process, and technology to deliver exceptional business value. Our team works with all functions within the Permian to build smart processes and workflows in support of asset goals.
Responsibilities may include:

• Act as a multi-functional single point of contact for key business needs where integration across functions is crucial (i.e. Pad Suite, Allocation System, W-Energy FDG, etc.)
• Oversee and manage SCADA related projects involving multiple teams, providing operational insight, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration for successful project completion
• Provide upstream oil and gas expertise, along with data/software technical insight, for all program initiatives to ensure close alignment with business priorities and deliver results
• Work efficiently with multiple partners including Operations, Delaware Operations Center, Engineering, Maintenance, Measurement, Capital Projects, Development, Land, Legal, Commercial, HSE, Production and Revenue Accounting, and others
• Proactively identify workflow and/or continuous improvement opportunities
• Complete feasibility assessments for potential projects and manage requirements definition, implementation, testing, and delivery of projects that are selected
• Help prioritize projects based on business impact/complexity and participate in the IO DevOps process for capturing, prioritizing, and executing work streams
• Facilitate interactions between IO technical teams and business users as needed in support of program projects/initiatives
• Support Operations efforts as needed to define and deliver key workflows
• Design and implement data analytics solutions for use by Permian functions/partners

Basic/Required:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, other related technical field, or foreign equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas
• Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 25% of the time on a yearly basis

Preferred:

• 3+ years of Permian experience
• 3+ years of experience with project development and execution
• Ability to work as part of a large multi-functional team
• Efficient business judgment, ability to efficiently discern business priorities
• Efficient written and verbal communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
