OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate soil and debris. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydro excavation, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate around utilities and pipelines

- Perform hydrovac operations according to project specifications and safety guidelines

- Drives truck to and from the dig sites

- Conduct pre-trip and post trip inspections of equipment

- Ensure equipment is kept clean and in good working condition

- Alerts supervisor immediately when mechanical defects occur

- Occasionally required to lift or carry up to 50-75 lbs.

- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner

- Complete required field tickets, JSAs, and other paperwork fully and in a timely manner

- Use a computer, iPad, telephone, or other office equipment as needed to perform duties.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

- Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

· 1 year of driving experience required. 3 years of driving experience preferred

· Class A or B CDL with Tanker Endorsement required.

· Must have a clean driving record

· Experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, graders, water trucks, etc. Hydrovac Truck experience preferred.

· Mechanical aptitude for basic maintenance tasks

· Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols

· Must pass all drug screenings including pre-hire and randoms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
