Omnia Medical is seeking a dynamic, multi-talented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for an individual looking to thrive in a multifaceted position encompassing Medical Office management, medical assisting, and reception duties. Responsibilities:
- Administrative Duties: Manage day-to-day operations including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records. Perform insurance eligibility checks and manage billing and payment collection. Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed. Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including maintaining patient records and updating medical charts.
- Clinical Tasks: Assist in clinical areas by taking vital signs, conducting EKGs, and preparing patients for examination.
- Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience both in-person and over the phone.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Medical Office setting is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance plans, and healthcare procedures.
- Proficiency in using Medical Office software and technology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Punctuality, honesty, and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Must be a team player, eager to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment
