Insurance Account Manager

Encompass Risk Management is an Independent Insurance Agency based in the Charlotte NC area focused on building a strong team and long-term relationships with commercial lines clients. We look forward to speaking with you.

This is a partially remote position with travel to the office and meetings.

Experienced commercial insurance professional with ability to handle all aspects of customer service. Daily relationship building with clients and prospects. Involved with marketing of accounts and interactions with underwriters to provide service and support.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional talent in customer service, be able to assess client coverage needs and build professional relationships based on the agencies core values.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ability to master the agency management system
• Input new business applications/submissions and set up of accounts.
• Provide technical support to Producers. Including coverage, proposals, suspense items, billings and policy service.
• Market new/renewal accounts including complex lines of business; prepare summary of insurance schedules, proposals, applications; sends submissions to companies; follow up to ensure timely response.
• Timely response to clients' and carrier needs by preparing applications, binders, certificates, policies, endorsement and other related items accurately and on time.
• Document and maintain electronic files accurately and consistently, processes incoming requests and mail accurately and timely.
• Prioritization of work tasks/client needs and ability to adapt to change.
• Informs and educates clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures. Work with Producer to cross sell
• General understanding of retail agency operations and necessary interactions with carrier partners
• Follow agency procedures and adhere to company core values.

Skills

• Knowledge of insurance, markets, research, sales and negotiating principles
• Outstanding knowledge of Office365
• Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
