The Nido R. Qubein School of Communication at High Point University is searching for a full-time instructor to teach the Foundations of Strategic Communication course and the Introduction to Human Communication course. This instructor position has a teaching load of 16-credits per semester (undergraduate courses are 4-credits) and will begin January 2024.
Duties include course preparation, providing timely feedback and grades, meeting with students during office hours, and communicating with students outside of class through Blackboard, e-mail, and/or telephone and contributing actively to the department (recruitment, retention, etc.).

Education:
- A master's degree in communication or related field
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with colleagues across campus for curriculum design and delivery
- Provides mentorship to students
- Communicates teaching activities through frequent and effective communication with the department chair
- Acts as a representative and advocate for the program, school, and the university
- Actively participates in committees within the department and school
- Undertakes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department chair
