Fayetteville Technical Community College is recruiting for a new member to join our Corporate & Continuing Education Team and now accepting applications for a full-time Paramedic Instuctor!
The Paramedic Instructor provides quality instruction to students, maintains awareness of the role of Continuing Education in the overall College mission, understands services available to students, develops business and industry linkages, and participates in in-service development opportunities.

Duties
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Teach all courses according to the approved course outline.
• Maintain accurate scholastic and membership records of students enrolled in classes and therefrom, submit reports to the appropriate supervisor.
• Present to the supervisor recommendations to improve the instructional program being taught, including revisions or updates of course outlines.
• Recommend textbook changes to the appropriate supervisor.
• Recommend the type and quality of equipment needed for instructional purposes to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain proper work hours, including established office, lab, shop, and classroom hours.
• Submit a Personal and Professional Development Plan to the appropriate supervisor annually.
• Serve upon request as faculty advisor to students.
• During registration, perform duties assigned.
• Fulfill assignment to faculty committees.
• Attend all scheduled faculty meetings.
• Attend graduation ceremonies as scheduled.
• Dress appropriately to uphold the dignity of the profession and the responsibilities of the positions.
• Other duties as assigned for special programs or projects as a part of the administrative responsibilities for teaching faculty.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in EMS or related area with current North Carolina license and / or possess National Registry Paramedic Certification Licensure.
Six years field experience as a paramedic North Carolina Level I.
Effective communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Preferred Requirements
Possess VFIS EVDT or NHTSA EVOC Driver Certification
EMS Instructor, ACLS, BLS, PALS (American Heart Association Instructor), and ITLS Instructor.
Level II NCOEMS Instructor.
Two years experience teaching EMS for a community college or four-year college.
Online teaching experience.
Military experience teaching EMS courses or military medics.
