General Function
The Instructor is a member of the ranked faculty whose duties require effectiveness in teaching, a commitment to staying current with their discipline and appropriate pedagogies, and a willingness to serve the academic unit, college and/or University. The Instructor's teaching responsibilities are assigned by the academic department head and may include serving as an academic advisor. Effective January 1 2007, the Instructor rank is a tenure-track appointment only for faculty appointed by the two-year open admissions campus at West Plains and the Greenwood Laboratory School.
Description of Primary Duties
Classroom or clinical instruction, committee work, advising students and other duties as assigned. Travel for clinical teaching assignments may be required.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
The minimum acceptable qualifications for the position of Instructor are prescribed in the Faculty Handbook. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, with completion of Master of Science in Nursing within 3 years of hire.
Applicants must be eligible for undisciplined, registered nurse licensure in Missouri.

Salary: $48,000 - $52,000 annually
