NOTE: This is a fully-remote position.
This position will analyze, design, implement and maintain the structure of online courses using eLearning concepts and authoring tools, such as instructional design software and applications. This position serves as the subject matter expert in system best practices for asynchronous learning as well as a learning management system (LMS) technical support for the organization. This position maintains the integrity of the organization from the perspective of accurate file management, updated learning materials, and an error-free user experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(40%)* Design, develop, and implement asynchronous modules using course management software, web authoring tools, and eLearning technologies to meet strict and interchanging timelines.
(30%)* Modify and enhance existing course designs and content through the use of current and emerging technologies, applying knowledge of educational theory and best practices, while remaining consistent with the concepts of the subject matter expert.
(10%)* Responsible for managing content in the LMS system, including but not limited to publishing, testing, uploading, and updating course content and materials.
(10%)* Meet with internal or external subject matter experts and proactive communicate on project progress and discuss areas of opportunity to increase high-quality, engaging work that meets deadlines.
(10%)* Design, compose, organize, and publish creative documents and tools, such as organizational charts, internal communication posters, and graphics.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with the Educational Services and Development team to design, develop, and implement clinical pathways into asynchronous learning.
Develop concise, interactive and engaging training curriculum and job-aides based on the needs of departments throughout the organization, including PDFs, quizzes, images, etc.
Troubleshoot SCORM file corruption problems or LMS completion issues.
Assist in developing quality standards and procedures related to LMS.
Proactively communicate project progress and deliver high-quality work that meets deadlines.
Research and stay up-to-date on current eLearning trends for adult learning.
Provide customer support for Education or Human Resources initiatives.
Provide coverage for LMS Administrator and EPIC Training Coordinator, as necessary.
All other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree required. Bachelors Degree in healthcare related field and experience in eLearning authoring tools and LMS preferred.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in healthcare related field.
Minimum qualifications for the Education System Specialist position include experience with LMS operations. Project management in learning and development ideal.
Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, TechSmith Camtasia, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Ability to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

Participate in all efforts to ensure LMS compliance with applicable regulatory, data privacy, and corporate requirements.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.

Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.
Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.
Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
