POSITION SUMMARY
The Instructional Designer is a member of the Human Resources department who is responsible for the design, development and execution of curriculum related to the support, development and empowerment of our employees across the globe. This role will support the Talent function to continue to evolve by introducing blended learning strategies and new technololgies to support development needs of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis (10%)
- Consults with subject matter experts/key stakeholders to identify skill, knowledge and/or ability gaps to achieve business OKRs
- Defines size, scope, budget and learning strategy needed to meet business requirements
- Facilitate measurement and effectiveness of existing training courses
Design (35%)
- Identifies learning objectives and learning requirements to transfer knowledge or acquire new skills
- Establish intro to leadership, management and onboarding programs to support the elevation and upskilling of employees
- Identifies appropriate levels of evaluation based upon Kirkpatrick's methodology
Development (35%)
- Using authoring tools (ie. Articulate Storyline, RISE 360, Vyond, Lessonly) to develop learning curricula that combine various modalities of learning
- Develops learning support resources such as e-learnings, facilitator/participant guides, job aides, etc.
IMPLEMENTATION (20%)
- Serves as a liaison to other training functions within the organization, mentoring and guiding other departments on adult learning theory and instructional design principles
- Host train-the-trainer sessions with business clients regarding new learning courses and materials
- Provides guidance on use of measurements and learning material maintenance
- As needed, support the facilitation of content across the company
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- 8+ years of Instructional Design experience in a corporate setting, graduate degree in instructional design, or organizational development highly desired; or equivalent experience.
- Advanced experience with instructional technology (e.g., Articulate, Vyond, Learning Management Systems)
- Advanced knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles
- Willingness to travel to headquarters and globally, as requested (less than 25% travel)
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
