Overview:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Instructional Designer to join our team. The Instructional Designer will play a key role in developing engaging and effective learning materials, courses, and programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of our employees, customers, and other internal/external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, e-learning development, and a passion for creating innovative and impactful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Needs Analysis:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to conduct needs assessments and identify learning objectives.
- Analyze target audience characteristics and tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Curriculum/Course Development:
- Design and develop instructional materials, including but not limited to e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, and multimedia content.
- Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that align with learning objectives.
Instructional Design Models:
- Apply instructional design models and theories to guide the development of effective learning solutions.
- Utilize adult learning principles to enhance the overall learning experience.
Technology Integration:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in instructional design and e-learning.
- Integrate innovative technologies and tools to enhance the delivery of learning content.
- Have a working knowledge of instructional design tools (e.g. Articulate, Rise, Storyline, etc.) and be able to apply in a number of settings.
Multimedia Development:
- Develop multimedia elements, such as videos, simulations, and interactive exercises, to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and other team members to create visually appealing and engaging content.
Evaluation:
- Conduct reviews and evaluations of learning materials to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with learning objectives.
- Implement feedback and continuously improve instructional materials based on evaluation results.
Project Management:
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the development process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Instructional Designer, developing a variety of learning materials.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
- Strong understanding of instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and learning technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Instructional Design or a related field.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS).
- Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools.
- Knowledge of industry-specific compliance and training requirements.
