Position Overview
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer who will play a crucial role in designing and developing engaging educational materials and programs for our dental staff. The successful candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts to create effective learning experiences that enhance the skills and knowledge of our dental team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing high-quality training content in various formats such as interactive eLearning, facilitator-led content, virtual classroom design, videos, simulations, performance support materials and assessments.
Analyzing training needs of all employees and creating a financially feasible, audience-appropriate learning experience that produces desired learning outcomes and demonstrates understanding of adult learning theories.
Develop and perform on-going maintenance on instructional curriculum including training programs and materials for all employees.
Establish learning objectives and create knowledge check or assessment questions including situational or scenario based questions that contribute to mastery of learning objectives.
Collaborate with learners and content subject matter experts (SMEs) while creating High-Level Design Documents, storyboards and make recommendations on approaches that enhance the quality of the learning experience.
Gather, master, synthesize, and organize complex content from subject matter experts, documentation, and individual research.
Leverage Smile Design brand standard style guides, imagery, and templates to ensure a consistent learner experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience in instructional design, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.
Proficiency in instructional design software and e-learning authoring tools.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate, and effective instructional materials.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable.
