SalaryHammond Academy of Science and Technology is looking for an Instructional Assistant to provide daily small group instruction for select students in grades 6 through 12. The Instructional Assistant will work closely with the middle school teachers, the intervention team and school leadership. The instructional leader will provide support to students based on their designated learning needs.
The appropriate candidate will have a strong sense of data analysis, as well as content knowledge of the Indiana Math and/or English/Language Arts standards for grades 6 through 12. The candidate will be familiar with NWEA tests and the use of NWEA data to assist with instruction.
HAST is a small school, serving a diverse population of 550 students in grades 6-12. The average general education class size is approximately 20 students.
This is a full-time position for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year with the possibility of continuing on into the 2024-25 school year dependent on successful evaluation.
