VP Area: VP for Academic Affairs, Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Research
Description:
The Office of Academic Affairs seeks to use a temporary, part-time, non-benefited position to assist IER staff with functions such as cleaning data, formatting reports, assisting with survey administration, and other routine tasks. This individual will work under the direction of the Director of Institutional Research.
Tasks:
- Running Banner, Argos, and/or SUNY BI reports as needed to assist in preparation for analysis.
- Cleaning data, which may involve such things as working with campus offices to correct data or removing identifying information from survey comments.
- Assisting with survey administration and data summaries.
- Creating data reports to meet the needs of the intended audience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SUNY Ulster and at least one year of experience in higher education.
- The ability to work independently with little supervision and be able to solve complex problems.
- Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and Banner Student Information System knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using statistical software packages, especially STATA.
